Location: Level B2 (next to the ladies toilet near the food court) and Level 4 (within the children’s department)
The baby care room in Takashimaya has been recently renovated. It’s one of the largest that I have seen in Singapore with separate areas for changing, nursing, and waiting.
The entrance has a bench to the side for family members to wait or feed their babies. There is a stylish BabyBjorn highchair that is provided.
To the left is the changing area. There are lots of changing stations and a sink. This area can get crowded at times but you never have to wait too long.
Straight ahead are the nursing rooms. Sometimes there are attendants at the entrance. I think that’s a great idea as I’ve had to wait for a nursing room before while staff members rest there or fill their water bottles (not at Takashimaya but in other malls). Men are not allowed in this area. I think I counted 5 separate rooms, each with a chair, table, and changing station.
The room was clean and a nice temperature. This definitely one of the nicest baby care rooms in Singapore.
Just noticed another nursing room in B2, just off the food court. This one is next to the ladies toilet.
Two soft changing stations in the main room along with sink and water dispenser.
And two nursing cubicles. They could fit in a small stroller but it would be a squeeze. There is a comfy chair and pull down changing unit. Overall the upstairs nursing room is much nicer, but this is convenient if you’re dining in the food court. There are benches outside the ladies toilets for waiting family members.
